Message: The following issue has been resolved as FIXED.
Resolver: fabrizio giustina Date: Mon, 4 Oct 2004 3:25 PM I think there is no need for a printable version feature, since css already have one... just create a specific css for printing, where you hide all the elements in the page you don't want to be printed, and link it using the media="print" attribute. If you still think you need a particular export feature, with a link at the bottom of the table just like for the csv or excel format you can now add a custom export view: see DISPL-13 and the related documentation on displaytag site for details. --------------------------------------------------------------------- View the issue: http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/DISPL-43 Here is an overview of the issue: --------------------------------------------------------------------- Key: DISPL-43 Summary: Printable Version Type: Wish Status: Resolved Priority: Minor Resolution: FIXED Original Estimate: Unknown Time Spent: Unknown Remaining: Unknown Project: DisplayTag Components: Export Fix Fors: 1.0 RC2 Versions: 1.0 RC1 Assignee: fabrizio giustina Reporter: fabrizio giustina Created: Mon, 4 Oct 2004 2:44 PM Updated: Mon, 4 Oct 2004 3:25 PM Description: ==== imported from sf tracker id 999803 submitted by Nic Holbrook - nholbrook http://sourceforge.net/support/tracker.php?aid=999803 ==== I was wondering how difficult it might be to just have a printable version that could be exported. What I would like to see this do is export the table exactly as it is seen to the user without anything else on the page. This would include grouping, etc. I would assume this to be fairly straight forward and it would save me from having to create printable pages. If you wanted to steer me in the right direction, I would be happy to implement this feature and submit it for your approval.
