--------------------------------------------------------------------- View the issue: http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/DISPL-114 Here is an overview of the issue: --------------------------------------------------------------------- Key: DISPL-114 Summary: Page Links - display first value in page Type: Wish Status: Unassigned Priority: Minor Original Estimate: Unknown Time Spent: Unknown Remaining: Unknown Project: DisplayTag Components: Paging/Sorting Versions: 1.0 RC1 Assignee: Reporter: fabrizio giustina Created: Sun, 14 Nov 2004 3:19 PM Updated: Sun, 14 Nov 2004 3:19 PM Description: ==== imported from sf tracker id 883204 submitted by http://sourceforge.net/support/tracker.php?aid=883204 ==== Instead of displaying numbers for the page links ( 1, 2, 3 ), could you instead display the value of the sorted column for the first row of the next page? This way the links act as an index to the user, and become extremely more useful. Example: A table sorted by the Last Name column would have page links like this: Next Johnson, Smith, Zachery You could use the decorator to display the column value. If no decorator exists, you could just use toString (). Please let me know what you think. -John [EMAIL PROTECTED] === Date: 2004-03-09 07:25 Sender: ralfhauserAccepting Donations Logged In: YES user_id=266141 seems to be very similar to RFE "Page results Alphabetically" http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=760038&g roup_id=73068&atid=536616 === Date: 2004-09-14 21:27 Sender: kencochraneAccepting Donations Logged In: YES user_id=831837 This is a good idea, what is the status on this?
