Yelena Belova commented on DISPL-82:
-------------------------------------

I've just submitted a few jpg files with screenshoots and jsp code to prove my
prevoius comment.
Just reminder:

I am using Webwork/Tiles and Dispaly tag library.
And export works perfect in case of :

http/ie and http/https/netscape
but doesn't in case of https/ie

It looks like it is like a mixxed problem between using tiles+https.
In case if there is no tiles and https - it works.

> I think I've found the culprit. I've followed some of the threads about
> Tiles and the export function not playing nicely with each other, with the
> ResponseOverrideFilter being the solution to that problem.
> ResponseOverrideFilter works fine with Mozilla, but I think it's not working
> that well with IE. When I took Tiles out of the equation (see environment
> below), export now works in IE.

> Subject: [displaytag-user] Problem Exporting in IE
> Hi all -
> I'm experiencing a problem with the export feature in Internet Explorer
> (6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2_rtm.040803-2158). I've specified these in my
> displaytag.properties file:
> export.csv.filename=report.csv
> export.excel.filename=report.xls
> In Mozilla, everything works as expected. I click on the XLS link and a
> dialog box comes up with the correct name "report.xls", giving me the option
> to Open it w/ default app, Open it, or Save it to Disk. However with IE,
> instead of "report.xls" being the file name in the dialog box, it shows the
> entire URL with all the displaytag parameters, and when I choose to either
> save or open the file, IE complains that the file ".... <entire URL>..."
> cannot be downloaded.
> Here's what I'm using:
> Tomcat 4.1.30
> Struts 1.1 / Tiles
> Displaytag 1.0 RC1
> I'm using the ResponseOverrideFilter as described in the docs
