Adding the "scope" attribute to table header cells (<th> or <td>) for web accessibility. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Key: DISPL-224 URL: http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/DISPL-224 Project: DisplayTag Type: New Feature Components: Tag Library, HTML Generation Priority: Minor Attachments: scope.txt Hi guys! It would be nice to have an optional "scope" attribute for table headers, created with <td> or <th>, to improve table accessibility for screen readers, etc ... The scope attribute is explained further here: http://www.ferg.org/section508/accessible_tables.html#contents_item_6.2.4 I have made a modification for this myself, and have included the minor source changes in the attached text file. I know you guys would like have a patch file, but I can't seem to generate one properly from behind my companies firewall (sorry!). I also wasn't sure if you needed a test case for a minor addition such as this. Thanks very much guys, your library is great! octalpus. -- This message is automatically generated by JIRA. - If you think it was sent incorrectly contact one of the administrators: http://jira.codehaus.org/secure/Administrators.jspa - For more information on JIRA, see: http://www.atlassian.com/software/jira ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the 'Do More With Dual!' webinar happening July 14 at 8am PDT/11am EDT.
