I believe this is much more than a suggestion for an improvement. Right now,
after months, it almost gives me a feeling like it is a bug, that even a simple
example such as enabling static header and scrollable table body should be
working in all the browsers and more importantly the mostly used Internet
Explorer!

Forget about a VB or excel kind of a table display which would be neat!

> I have been troubled by my problems, for months now, with displaying my jsp
> pages using display table tag library in Internet Explorer. I have a working
> CSS for a static header and scrollable table body in firefox. However, I have
> tried all possible options to get this working in the more popularly used
> Internet Explorer. I even went through the FAQ to see if the suggested link
> works, however opening the
> http://www.imaputz.com/cssStuff/bigFourVersion.html link as suggested in the
> FAQ also fails in the current version of IE. I would really appreciate if
> some one could post a working version of using display table tag library with
> customizable CSS and javascript to enable the basic. And the next thing would
> be to get a VB or excel type of table.
> In the FAQ page:

> Rendering
> How can I display static headers in a table, so that headers remain visible
> while user scrolls the table body?
> You can do that simply using css, adding an height and the overflow:
> scroll property to the tbody element. Unfortunately this will work perfectly
> in Netscape/Mozilla, but not in Internet Explorer.
> A table with a scrollable body can be made in Internet Explorer using
> javascript or a more complex css. Here
> <http://www.imaputz.com/cssStuff/bigFourVersion.html> you can find a good css
> example.
> ...
> This link in itself does not work at all in the current Internet Explorer.
