Dynamic items per page control (drop down, text box, etc.) to be created by
display tag in the banner
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

                 Key: DISPL-641
                 URL: http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/DISPL-641
             Project: DisplayTag
          Issue Type: New Feature
          Components: Paging/Sorting
    Affects Versions: 1.3
            Reporter: Kevin Rohr
            Priority: Minor

I'm in the process of migrating an application from an older technology to JSP
and I'm using display tag for our tables. One of our goals is to leave the user
interface unaffected by the migration.

Currently our tables provide the user a drop-down that allows them to select
the number of items per page.

This is different than DISPL-36 in that the tag library needs to not only be
able to respond to a dynamic page size variable, but also actually produce the
control that allows the user to choose the number of items per page. This
control shows up to the left of the paging icons.

I have this working for our purposes locally, but to make it applicable to the
general user may take a little more time.
