Yes Matt, That is the story.
I do not know the number of tables I got. :-(
Actually my "display" version is already patched. (Updates to all sorting
on null elements, update to allow the creation of a "sum" row at the end of
the table using ALL the data in the list,...)

Unless you have a dynamic number of tables on your page, you can simply
reference it by index [0]. If you *really need* an id, please submit a
bug or a patch to add this.
