I normally use Opera 7 and I had tried it with IE as well. Now when I test with
Netscape 7 I can see that the result is what I wanted to have :-). It's a pity
that the other browsers are not compliant though!
Our pseudo-cross-browser solution was to use a <div> around the table and CSS...
