If you are using paging and full sorting (sorting of the full list) together this is the expected behaviour: since you are changing the order of the list it makes no sense mantaining the current selected page, since it will display completely different records.

Hi All I have implemented Paging. When I am on the 5th Page ( assume ) and I sort on a Column the control is transferred to the 1st page after sorting. How can I solve this .This is a urgent problem. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Mahesh
