There are a few of us who have a problem with the ColumnDecorator being an interface. We can’t access pageContext etc., and that is quite difficult to work around.
We were just thinking that before we submit a bug, we would post the open question to the developers and ask why ColumnDecorator needs to be an interface and thus remove some very important functionality.
