We've
also got a patch which allows server-side sorting callbacks that we'll try to

Hi,
I've implemented a patch to DisplayTag that
addresses RFE #872183, that is, using DisplayTag in situations where the
server handles the paging of very long lists.
What's the preferred means of submitting such a
patch? Should I do a diff on CVS (once it's up) and add it to the issue
tracker?
As a side note, it turns out there's already an
existing patch in the issue tracker from January (I wasn't aware that it
existed before I started). But I think mine's a little more
comprehensive, and unlike the earlier code is based on the latest
version. But I'll have a look at the existing proposal and see if maybe
a merge of the two would be appropriate.

I'll post a note explaining this once I put it
up. It's seems a useful feature and has been requested from time to
time.
