In simple words: Once my servlet is called via AJAX technology then I want to pull data from database, create TableModel object and populate it with my data and then get HTML formated table and return it in response from servlet. I was looking at TableModel and I see it is dependent on javax.servlet.jsp.PageContext and the HtmlTableWriter (probably the object that is used to produce HTML formated table) is dependent on javax.servlet.jsp.JspWriter. Is it possible to write my own implementations on JspWriter and PageContext which could be used to "fool" displayTag to produce HTML formated table into String which I could then returned from my AJAX servelt? Is there any better way how to solve my situation? Sorry if these questions have been asked/answered previously as I just joined the mail-list.
