I know that this question is not displaytag-specific, but the issue involves table display and since displaytag (which I am using) involves tables, I am hoping that this is not too far off-topic.

I wish to control the width of one (or more) of the columns in displaytag output, and am able to do via the style attribute in the display:column tag, and just provide a width attribute. This works fine for IE browsers, but of course does not work in any Mozilla browsers. The goal is for the specific column width to be static, and for the enclosing content to wrap to that size.  I have looked at nowrap, table-layout, etc. in css, but these approaches do not work outside of IE.

Has anyone figured a way to do this, using displaytag, for Non-IE browsers?

Any guidance would be appreciated... thanks!

Regards,
