I don't think there is a way to alter the position of the automatic export links. You could either alter the DisplayTag source code to allow this or you could duplicate the html that DisplayTag produces for the export links in your code and place them wherever you liked. The former would be neater and could be contributed back but the latter is likely to be easier and quicker to implement.
