requestURI takes on the value of the web page or servlet that your application 
called to generate the page.? Here's an example from some of my source code for 
the <display:table> tag:

?????????????? requestURIcontext="true"
?????????????? requestURI="/servlet/UserActivityReport"

what value  should i give for requestURI attribute for sorting to work......
Is it necessary to mention the value for requestURI attribute.......if 
necessary mention the reason.

I have given empty value for requestURI .........its working fine for the first 
time....next time when i click on column for sorting, page will be forwarded to 
some other page...from which the request has come...
