CVS results, more info to Martin privately: there is a way to use the
new -MD feature of gcc 3.2. -MD -MF file -MT file may be used together,
if the object files are not produced in the current directory, to get
the desired result of a .d file in the same place as the .o file in one
compiler invocation.
