Hmm, maybe that wasn't clear as I thought it was...it was a bit late when I wrote it :)
The .bz2 is a tar of a full toolchain that runs on Cygwin and creates i686-linux binaries. The script just automates typing in a cygrunsrv for people who haven't used it before. What it does is take any PC with a base Cygwin install and creates a distcc host out of it with the mentioned toolchain. Since I run Gentoo I use it to leverage the extra processing power of the XP machines sitting around doing nothing. -Rob -----Original Message----- From: Harold L Hunt II [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Thursday, January 15, 2004 5:39 PM To: Rob Snow Cc: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: [distcc] Cygwin hosted distcc toolchain (updated) Rob, Rob Snow wrote: > I realized that I hadn't sent an email to the list that I've updated my Cygwin > distcc toolchain, so here it is. But then... what do we have here: > There is a miniscule README that tells you it get's untarred into /usr and > actually lives in /usr/local/gnu-<blah-blah-blah>. Are you saying that there is a *also* a script in that package that is intended to be used on Cygwin? If so, it might be a good idea to add that script to my distcc package for Cygwin. I had just been thinking about creating such a script and it would be great if you have already done so. Let me know if I misunderstood what you have got in your package.
