I am building a NAS as the start for a small home network consisting of one Windows XP machine for now and will expand to include a number of Ubuntu machines.
I have researched several solutions to a network storage system including: Samba, freeNAS and EON. I am interested in EON in particular and wanted to find out if it will meet my requirements for the NAS: 1) Storing files from the Windows XP machine, I want to preserve the file attributes and time stamps. 2) Expandable: ability to add additional drives or migrate to a new RAID (Likely would use a RAID 5). -- This message posted from opensolaris.org _______________________________________________ distribution-discuss mailing list [email protected] http://mail.opensolaris.org/mailman/listinfo/distribution-discuss
