This AMD Southport chip can run the disks in 3 different modes 1. port 1-6 - all IDE 2. port 1-4 AHCI, 5&6 IDE 3. port 1-6 - all AHCI
HP has choosen to use mode 2. from above and hides the possibility to change that. But there is a patch floating around (look for O41_AHCI.ZIP) which enables this part in the BIOS and you can set all 6 ports to AHCI. This enabled my systemdisk (int. port) to run error free scrubs since then and shows the drive in the same way as the others (except the temp :-) ).
