hi there
i own a small computer store in switzerland. we sell about 10 pcs / month with pre-installed openoffice.org, mostly in french.
i just saw on the project page that i'm supposed to register myself as a community distributor at this address, if i want to do that, so there i go ;-)
my store homepage : www.omne.ch
my whole business uses openoffice.org. we don't have microsoft office installed anymore.
and i don't know if that's relevant to you, but i have trouble making the people actually use openoffice.org. it's true that it takes a little time to get used to, but people are not willing to invest that. even though i tell them i'm really happy with this office suite and that i use it every day, people prefer to either use the microsoft suite, for the simple reason that they don't want to get used to something new.
to tell you the truth, from the some 300 copies of openoffice i have installed on custommer computers so far, i think that only about maybe four or five are still in use.
still, i'm convinced that it is important to stop the monopoly of some people, and worth the sweat, so i still install openoffice on any computer that doesn't have an office suite installed per default.
are there any pamphlets in french i could print for poeple, so they can have some more information?
regards
