I am seeking your permission to redistribute Open Office to my clients and small businesses in my community as a free service.  I am encouraging the use of Open Office to the small business community in an effort to encourage its use and to simultaneously introduce people to my business and the services I offer.  My plan is to provide media containing Open Office and other GNU or non profit freeware at my own expense.  I also intend to offer training in the use of Open Office.

The products I would like to include on the disk are:

  • Most recent Stable release of Open Office
  • Mozilla Firefox
  • Mozilla Thunderbird
  • Avatarsoft JustZipIt
  • Acro Software CutePDF
  • Visicom Media AceFTP
  • RealVNC

All, of course, pending permission from the authors or copy write owners.

Open Office will be the key program of the disk and I would like permission to not only use the software but to use the Open Office logo on the disk label.  The label will be a glossy black background with the GreenHorse Consulting Logo at the top.  The Open Office logo will be displayed prominently and according to any requirements you may reasonably impose.

The disks will be burned in small quantities and will be personally distributed to each recipient.  Expected distribution events will be Open Office Training sessions, business networking meetings, client meetings, prospect meetings and trade shows.  The disks will not be mass distributed by mail or any other means.

Please let me know if this is an acceptable use and if so what requirements I must comply with.
