Aloha,
Mt name is Daniel Machovec. I am attempting to open a non-profit
organization in Honolulu, Hawaii to take old and out of date PC's and
refurbish them. These PC's will then be sold at a token price to low
income families of underprivilaged middle and high school studenst for
use on their homework and school projects. I am interested in the
possibilies of using your software in an OEM capacity to install on
these systems. Obviously the use of this software could allow these
students to gain a powerfull software suite to complete their
computers while keeping the systems at a token cost to the end users.
Any information you can provide me with to hekp further this cause
would be greatly appreciated.
Yours truely,
Daniel Machovec

Excellent Daniel, go for it. If you are going to put a Linux
distribution on the boxes then invariably OOo will be installed with
it. If you are considering that, I would suggest using Ubuntu
http://www.ubuntulinux.org . Ubuntu will supply you with the cds, just
click the "Shipit" link on the home page and do the order. Ubuntu runs
very well on low resourced older boxes. I run Ubuntu on a P150 AT box
with 96 megs of EDO ram no problem at all.
If you using windows then download and install and copy to you hearts
content.
Cheers
