Hey, to follow up on this. This libssp issue was not caused by the named commit but by the fact that the OE gcc 4.1.2 recipe didn't turn off libssp. This was spotted by Richard/John and fixed/merged by John in 6b6f52153dc207c2f96bbaa72c7da5c3df057896. thanks z.
