Wolfgang, that's a good summary and I agree with that.
There may come a time when I think that OE will no longer be the best tool for the job the distro team needs to do, rest assured I'm well prepared to acknowledge if or when this happens. I'll definitely keep open eyes and open mind on alternative tools. :M:
