However, you are correct about proof of concept code, and in some respects that's the easy part. I will start work on that immediately. Central to this proposal is providing a boilerplate setup.py that is able to do an install of a package/application entirely from the information contained in the setup.info file. What it means is that a developer won't need to write a setup.py at all. Just use the one provided and edit the data in the setup.info file. Thank you for your suggestion.
