Technically, this cannot be caused by software written by XMLmind. If 
you don't believe me, then generate a .docx (same XSLT stylesheets, same 
attribute-sets) and you won't see these random color changes when you'll 
open the file in MS-Word.

Therefore, the culprit must be either the XSL-FO processor (e.g. FOP) or 
the PDF viewer (e.g. Acrobat Reader).

I recall having seen this phenomenon with Acrobat Reader, but not with 
other PDF viewers. I've always assumed that it was a bug in Acrobat 
Reader (triggered by something normally innocuous we do in our XSLT 
stylesheets).
