I was a Docbook user for eight years before switching to DITA two years
ago. The DITA-OT and I have a detente in which I no longer yell at it,
and it no longer taunts me.
However, the HTML support in DITA-OT sucks. The DITAC webhelp is
wonderful. Although my company still uses DITA-OT for PDF and EPUB, we
rely on DITAC for our webhelp because the webhelp support is easy and
gives our customers the best way to find the information they need. In
non-professional lingo: DITAC kicks ass.
