Hi! Is there any support for parent/child linking, such as in the
example below?

Here, you can see a list of linked topics and their short descriptions.
On some pages you will see Parent Topic: <link> at the bottom as well. I
read this available in DITA-OT. How can I get this functionality using
DITAC?
Yes. See for example:
http://www.xmlmind.com/ditac/_distrib/doc/manual/install.html#distrib
However, there is currently no way to have the short description after
the link.
Now, how to get these links?
Answer: pass XSLT parameter ignore-navigation-links=no to ditac. This
parameter is documented here:
http://www.xmlmind.com/ditac/_distrib/doc/manual/xsltParams.html#xsltParams__ignore-navigation-links
Example of the command used to generate above
http://www.xmlmind.com/ditac/_distrib/doc/manual/
---
ditac -filter screen.ditaval \
-images images \
-p xsl-resources-directory resources \
-p default-table-width "100%" \
-p mark-external-links yes \
-p extended-toc both \
-p number all \
-p use-note-icon yes \
-p chain-pages both \
-p chain-topics no \
../../doc/manual/_.html manual.ditamap
---
For the XHTML output, the default value of ignore-navigation-links is
"auto", which means "no" unless chain-topics=yes (not the case for the
above command).
