Hello Shaun,

You can use Fluenta, https://www.maxprograms.com/products/fluenta.html , to
parse the DITA map and extract only the topics that need translation.

Use a .ditaval file to select translatable topics  and the result will be a
parallel structure containing only the topics that you wanted to translate.

Regards,

Rodolfo

Subject: [ditac] Question: Copying DITA files for translation

Hello,

We’re investigating moving our documentation from an Author-it database to
DITA, and hit a snag.

When we want to translate documentation at the minute, we can publish the
document to XML, allowing only the relevant content to be translated. Are there
any options available to copy only the content used in a Ditamap to another
folder structure for translation? We only translate a sub-set of our
documentation, so duplicating and translating all of our content isn’t viable.

Kind regards,

  -Shaun Harrison
