I guess the main question is whether or not ComDev, which has D&I in its 
charter and mandate, is OK with another cmmt taking on its role in this area. 
If ComDev wants to spin out D&I then by all means that is its decision. But I 
have not yet seen such a decision yet. Instead, we have a resolution fo 
creating a president's cmmt that takes on a task "assigned" to a PMC created by 
the board without any formal OK by said PMC that such a thing is OK. That seems 
quite a questionable deviation for due process and an abuse, of sorts, of 
power, basically an exec officer role attempting to "grab" various aspects of a 
PMC (established by the board) to itself.

That seems very, very wonky to me and quite out of form.
