After a number of connection/disconnection cycles, as well as few blind
mis-keying of my toslink cable-connector, the input toslink
connector/receiver on my Transporter ended up becoming pushed-back into
its rear panel and out of alignment. Upon removing the cover of the
Transporter and realigning the toslink receiver assembly to the rear
panel, I noticed that it was very lose in the rear panel opening and
moreover, the toslink receiver failed to work. It's too bad that the
toslink receiver's mounting is totally dependent on its attachment to
the small printed-circuit board located just below the toslink receiver,
especially since there is a small unused rear-panel screw-boss molded
into the toslink connector itself. All was needed was a small hole
drilled into the real panel in which a small screw could be placed to
firmly attach the receiver to real panel.

But anyway, it's water-under-the-bridge now. Since the toslink
receiver is damaged, it must be replaced. The problem is the that I
cannot find that part of a near equivalent.

The part made by Ceranate and the part number is RX179AF.

Anyone have any suggestions as to a replacement?

Thanks
