Quite the opposite. Neither is self contained, both need a server to be of any use but with the Squeezebox firmware that server can either be a local server or Logitech's MySqueezebox.com online service. For the UE firmware it has to be the UESmartRadio.com online service, without it, the radio does nothing.
There's no infrastructure or tweaks for the Smart Radio, nobody has bothered hacking it since there is support of Applets for the Squeezebox firmware if that's what you are after. Have a look at the 3rd party software forum or the developer forum here for tweaks, stuff that runs directly on the device in LUA is called an Applet. --- learn more about iPeng, the iPhone and iPad remote for the Squeezebox and Logitech UE Smart Radio as well as iPeng Party, the free Party-App, at penguinlovesmusic.com *New: iPeng 7, the Universal App for iOS 7* ------------------------------------------------------------------------ pippin's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13777 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=101177 _______________________________________________ diy mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/diy
