I am playing around a home automation project, z-wave, mysensorr, etc
My idea to control Squeezebox Radio (baby) however I do not use any LMS
deployed locally.

What level of control are you looking for? You can use most of the CLI commands as documented in LMS on mysb.com, too. Open up the player control (http://www.mysqueezebox.com/player/playerControl) in your browser with some dev tools (firebug or Chrome's own tools), and check for some of the calls to jsonrpc.js. Eg. all the play/pause/volume etc. commands are handled this way.

If you want to provide access to the device's menu, then that'll be much more involved...

I would be happy to have a look at the appropriate documentation.

It's best viewed with an LMS installation:
http://yourserver:9000/html/docs/cli-api.html

Run it to get that page if for nothing else. You can always shut it down again.
