Comment:
It's true that it's not the way normal English is punctuated.
However in the context of a report such as this about the operation of a
system where `Email` is a something like a proper noun, it's OK, and it
helps signal that the thing we're speaking of is a special thing in the
system.
You'll also often find technical documentation written this way, for
example.
