Comment (by claudep): With your approach, you are also forced to specify an output_field for geometry values, which is not very intuitive either. So the difference is basically recommending either `Value(geom, GeometryField(srid=...))` or `GeomValue(geom)`. Of course, if we find a solution to make `Value(geom)` just work, I'd favored that solution.
