I'll second that. This one has bitten me too.
While setting permissions to 600 is sound, maybe a two liner on the
documentation would help make that more obvious. It took me a while to
understand what as going on.
Asides from that, thanks for the patch. I've been using it for a while
(mod_python at webfaction's setup, post unicode merge) and it works well.
