#34295: Add makemigrations flag that just uses timestamp -------------------------------------+------------------------------------- Reporter: Andrew | Owner: nobody Chen Wang | Type: New | Status: new feature | Component: Core | Version: 4.1 (Management commands) | Severity: Normal | Keywords: Triage Stage: | Has patch: 0 Unreviewed | Needs documentation: 0 | Needs tests: 0 Patch needs improvement: 0 | Easy pickings: 1 UI/UX: 0 | -------------------------------------+------------------------------------- Currently, when running makemigrations, a verbose name is used instead of an `auto_timestamp` name when the verbose name is 47 characters or less in length. I would like to add an option to force the autogeneration of the name to use the timestamp or the verbose name, regardless of the rule.
