@mtredinnick: I'll admit, I took the easy way out, acknowledging that a
fix was easy, while I waited for someone else to come along and verify how
it *should* be done, and that there weren't any unfortunate consequences,
before I included it in my own patch. I had always wanted it to be
included, I jsut didn't think I was the best person to verify that the
patches covered all the bases. Now that it's been fully fleshed out, I'll
be adding it to the next patch for #5361 first thing tonight.
