 In my mind this is a bug.  My reasoning is as follows:  In every language
 there are many different (but correct) ways in which to display a date.
 Although one way may be considered a default, surely there are many ways
 that are valid.  In order to change the default date display on one app, I
 have to provide a custom translation?
