Should've you be passing the File object into `slideshow_image.save()`,
rather than the result of `read()`?
I haven't tested this, but my understanding is that your statement should
be:
{{{
self.slideshow_image.save(os.path.basename(self.image.path),
self.image, save=False)
}}}
