Comment:
Django has a basic mail solution to make simple admin mailouts easy. If
there are other applications, that's great, but Django's purpose in life
is not to be a mass mail solution. If your mailing needs are sufficiently
complex that you need direct access to the MTA, code up a solution and use
it as an external project. Theres no reason that this needs to be part of
the Django core.
