Comment (by [email protected]):
Bump.
This is a bit old, but came across it in development of Django dependent
project, RapidSMS. This inflexibility has caused (poor) duplication of
code (see
[http://groups.google.com/group/rapidsms/browse_thread/thread/fc97cae09cb30de4/3df3d54045328c2f
1] and
[http://groups.google.com/group/rapidsms/browse_thread/thread/40bb13a029aa7715
2] and
[http://github.com/rapidsms/rapidsms/commit/be76a1e5649d1d99f1fd5f26493fcd55e9460415
3]).
As Django has grown and become used by more projects, it might make sense
to tackle this. @gsong, a custom command in manage.py doesn't fix the
hard-coded path in django.core.management.base.copy_helper. Instead of
making an additional setting, how about passing an additional variable to
the copy_helper? I'd be happy to submit a patch!
