In second example for render():
https://docs.djangoproject.com/en/dev/topics/http/shortcuts/#example
it imports Context but then uses RequestContext.
Fix:
change:
c = RequestContext(request, {'foo': 'bar'})
to:
c = Context(request, {'foo': 'bar'})
since it's a simple render
