It cause be missing 'TEST_CHARSET': 'utf8mb4', #'utf8' will also do inside setting.py i.e: DATABASES = { 'default': { 'ENGINE': 'django.db.backends.mysql', # Add 'postgresql_psycopg2', 'mysql', 'sqlite3' or 'oracle'. ...
