You can... but there are some limitations.
For example, django's admin site, don't work using appengine
You need to use db.Model,
You need to use google.appengine.ext.db.djangoforms   to validate forms...
And some more ....

I mean, maybe we are bothering the members, talking more about appengine,
than django.
