if that's true, assuming your view is being called and assuming it runs
as far as tags.sort(), then your for tag loop isn't being entered.
datum = "@@@"
for tag in tags:
datum = "%s!!!<br />%s - %s" % (datum, tag, handler.tags[tag])
print "about to render_to_response"
and see what comes out.
