You're right. I was making the assumption that SQLite and pysqlite would be an easier install process for him. Looking around, there are some outdated Mac/Django install guides out there. I've done it twice and didn't have trouble, but I'm a Linux geek (and Fink was one of the first things I installed on my Mac). But trying to help someone else easily install a development environment for Django shows me this is a documentation need.
