Sorry, should have made it clear on my second post in response to
Massimiliano. He suggested this, and so I altered the code so it now
reads:
def ansQuestion(request):
q = get_object_or_404(Question)
answer = request.POST["answer"]
<form action="ansQuestion" method="post">
<select name="answer">
<option value="A">A</option>
<etc...>
Since (at least) two people have now suggested that this is the right
thing, and it still doesn't work, then I must have done something else
wrong....any ideas?
