I've read the docs on linking Apache authentication with Django's (http://www.djangoproject.com/documentation/apache_auth/) and also found a snippet on Django Snippets (http://www.djangosnippets.org/ snippets/62/).
The first method definitely requires mod_python and the second one seems to as well. I'm stuck with fcgi at the moment. The standard CGI method would be to keep all static files away from Apache and pipe them all through Python code. Is there any other solution or failing that does anyone have any advice/code on the most efficient way to go about this?
