I cannot repeat this on a new project or an existing (quite complex) project. When you say you created an empty application, what did you really do? Did you add views to the application? Remove your existing applications from the mix? Is the error occurring in exactly the same place, or is it now occurring in the new application you added? Try import mysite.ko.views from the shell (run manage.py shell and then import it). That might give you more information. You haven't posted all of the traceback information, just the report from the top of the debug page, so it's not really possible to guess any further. I agree with Russell that there hasn't been any recent commit that would suggest this problem. There is nowhere in the Django code that does anything like "import managers", so I strongly suspect the problem is somewhere in your code or in a third-party app you might be relying on. Check your assumptions. Start from an empty project and see if the problem reoccurs. Think about what else, beyond Django core, you might be relying on.
